Below are some documents that I found that were recorded and are at the Clerk of Court office in the Fannin County Courthouse. Some are too large to scan in, so I typed them.

Robert had joined the service and was going to be shipped overseas. This document signs over all of his property to his mother in case he dies in war. The second page is his last will and testiment under the same circumstances.

Fannin County Oaths to the United States, 1865
(Part II)
contributed by Robert S. Davis, Jr. Contributing Editor
Even before the Civil War ended southerners were taking oaths before federal officials to be restored as citizens to the United States. The National Archives in Washington, D.C. has hundreds of thousands of these oaths of others for Georgians are arranged by county in Record Group 1-1-107 at the Georgia Department of Archives and history. Georgians who for various reasons had to first petition the prsident for amnesty before they could take such oaths are listed in Ancestoring VIII, a publication of the Augusta Genealogical Society.
Reproduced below is a list of Fannin county residents who took oaths to be restored to United States citizenship between August 26 and November 9, 1865. The original list is in the Telamon Cuyler Collection, Hargrett Library, University of Georgia Libraries and is used here with permission. Taylor in the North Georgia Journal nol. 6-7(1986): 39.
This is the second and final part of this list, the first of which appeared on pages 32 through 37 of the Winter 1989 Quarterly.
